PSTrax Integration

Configure the PSTrax integration to sync temperature monitoring data with your BloodCOMM devices.

What this integration does

PSTrax reads temperature data from your BloodCOMM devices and shows it alongside the blood products you already track in PSTrax. Readings arrive at a minimum every fifteen minutes and are configurable up from there.

Before you start:

You will need:

  • An active PSTrax account with the Blood Products module enabled.
  • An active BloodCOMM Pro or Premium subscription for each device.
    • At this time, the PSTrax integration is only compatible with BloodCOMM Pro or higher subscription.

If your agency has BloodCOMM hardware but no subscription, or neither, contact Delta Development Team sales. The connection cannot be turned on until the subscription is active.

Steps to enable
  1. Check your devices.
You must have an active PRO or PREMIUM BloodCOMM license for each device they query.  Verify devices are visible and online in BloodCOMM.
  2. Contact Delta Technical Support to enable the connection.
Email support@deltadevteam.com and ask them to enable the PSTrax connection for your organization. Delta does this once, for security reasons, and it covers your whole organization.
  3. Tell PSTrax you are ready.
Contact your PSTrax Customer Success representative once Delta confirms and provide the  the Organization ID assigned by Delta .
  4. Configure your PSTrax/BloodCOMM integration in PSTrax.
In PSTrax, this is configured via Settings>Blood Products>Manage Integrations>Delta BloodCOMM
  5. Connect each BloodCOMM device to the PSTrax container it monitors, so readings land against the right unit. In PSTrax, this is configured via Settings>Blood Products>Manage Containers>Add Thermometer.

Troubleshooting
  1. Readings have stopped arriving and nothing looks wrong. The most common cause is an expired BloodCOMM license. When a license expires the connection stops quietly, without an error in either system. Check the license status of that device in BloodCOMM before you raise a support ticket.
  2. One device stopped and the others are fine. Licenses are per device, so an expiry on one device does not affect the rest. Check that device on its own.
  3. You added a device and it is not showing up. A new device needs its own license and needs to be matched to a location in PSTrax. You do not need to contact Delta again, because their one time step covers your whole organization.
