# APRU Vehicle Hardwire Instructions

## Installation instructions for the APRU 6L Hardwire Cable

> This article applies to both **APRU Hardwire Cable** and **APRU Hardwire Cable with Quick Disconnect**

**WARNING:** Use grommets to route the supplied cable through the vehicle firewall or body panels. 

**WARNING:** Installing electronics in your vehicle requires knowledge of automotive electrical systems and proper safety procedures. Improper wiring can lead to electrical fires, vehicle damage, and personal injury. Always consult your vehicle's manual and seek professional assistance if needed. By proceeding with installation, you accept full responsibility for any resulting issues and agree that the manufacturer of this information is not liable for any damages. 

#### **Environment**

- Install in an air-conditioned cab or compartment, no more than **50℃ (122℉)**
- Minimum compartment space: **24”L x 12”W x 12”H**

#### **Inverter power**

- If using a DC to AC inverter, a minimum power specification of **250 Watts continuous (500 Watts peak)** is required *per APRU*.

#### **DC power**

- Voltage range: **12.4 - 24 VDC**
- APRU maximum amp draw: **10 amps**
- A **20 amp** vehicle grade(ATO) inline fuse must be used.
- The Maximum cable length is **27.2 ft.**

**Note:** The cable can be cut to length.
