BloodCOMM Connectivity

The APRU-6L Portable Medical Refrigerator comes equipped with a Bluetooth Data Download features.

The BloodCOMM Blood Management Software application may be used to connect to your APRU-6L.  BloodCOMM enables viewing of the current status of the APRU, supplementary Alerts, as well as historic temperature logs.

There are two ways to connect to your APRU:

  1. Bluetooth Connections
The BloodCOMM Mobile Application (available via Google Play store for Android, or the Apple App store for iOS) natively supports Bluetooth connections for all APRU-6L devices.

The data downloaded over Bluetooth within the BloodCOMM app will only be available on the mobile device (phone/tablet) that downloaded it.  Data may be exported to a PDF or CSV, however will not be available within the BloodCOMM Cloud.

  2. BloodCOMM Cloud
While APRU-6L does not have the ability to communicate with the internet via cell or Wi-Fi, an accessory device (the BloodCOMM Connect) may be used as a "gateway" device. The Connect automatically downloads the Bluetooth data, verifies the information, and uploads it to the BloodCOMM Cloud.

BloodCOMM Connect devices will automatically sync "live" status every 15 minutes, and will routinely back up the stored logs from your APRU-6L to the BloodCOMM Cloud.

Note that remote BloodCOMM Cloud access requires a BloodCOMM Subscription.
